Yarema – Attractions

The Yarema villa district is located on the eastern slopes of Vitosha Mountain, within the Pancharevo region, just 25 km south of downtown Sofia. Nearby are the villages of Zheleznitsa and Bistritsa to the north, and Plana Mountain 11 km to the southeast. The area offers many natural attractions to explore. One of the most visited sites is the Zheleznitsa mineral spring, located about 2 km from the village. Sourcing from approximately 12 springs, its water maintains a year-round temperature of 28°C. Several rustic outdoor soaking pools have been created there, which are said to help with stress, fatigue, and skin conditions.
The “Galunka” panoramic trail is a popular choice for a scenic walk. It connects the Vitosha villages of Bistritsa and Zheleznitsa. The 4.3 km trail takes about 2 hours to complete and begins at the edge of Bistritsa, finishing at Aneva Cheshma (Aneva’s Fountain) just before Zheleznitsa. Along the route, there are several designated areas for rest and picnics.
The “Adgor” Equestrian Center is located in the immediate vicinity of the Yarema area, in an exceptionally beautiful region with breathtaking panoramic views of four mountain ranges: Rila, Verila, Vitosha, and Plana. The center offers riding lessons for both beginner and advanced equestrians.
