Villa Boyana City & Relax is a superb boutique villa, built in a modern urban style blended with alpine accents. The villa is located in the prestigious Boyana district of Sofia, in close proximity to Vitosha Mountain. For nature lovers, don’t miss the chance to visit the Boyana Church, the Boyana Waterfall, or the Dragalevtsi Monastery. Numerous eco-trails on Vitosha Mountain are also nearby. The villa is just 20 minutes from the center of Sofia and 30 minutes from Sofia Airport (SOF).

Villa Boyana is set on a property of over 1,000 sq.m., featuring various distinct areas for leisure and a dedicated spa zone. The two-story house accommodates a maximum of 8-9 guests across 3 rooms. It is also suitable for hosting birthday parties and other events for up to 15-20 people (pricing for events is arranged separately from the standard rates on the website).

The ground floor features a living room with a luxurious sofa set and a bar, a dining area with a table for 8, and a fully equipped, modern kitchen with a stovetop, oven, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, dishwasher, capsule espresso machine, electric kettle, soda maker, toaster, beer dispenser, fresh juice machine, drip coffee maker, and a food processor. Adjacent to the kitchen is a covered BBQ area. The living room provides direct access to the villa’s private garden. There you will find a patio with outdoor furniture, a relaxation zone with sun loungers, a jacuzzi, and a sauna. Around the relaxation area, guests of Villa Boyana can also enjoy a wooden gazebo perfect for coffee, hammocks, and other leisure amenities.

Two of the bedrooms are located on the first floor. The first room features two King-size beds, accommodating up to four guests, and includes a private en-suite bathroom. The second room is furnished with two twin beds for two guests.

On the second floor, you will find the third bedroom, which also has its own private en-suite bathroom. This room is decorated in a beautiful Mediterranean style and boasts an in-room jacuzzi, a private bar area, and an incredible panoramic view over the entire city of Sofia.

The ground floor of the villa contains a one-car garage, a laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, and ironing board, as well as a safe for your valuables.

For added comfort and privacy, the house is fitted with blinds on all windows. Every room is air-conditioned, and the villa has an automatic gas heating system.

A welcome package is provided for all guests, including coffee capsules, a selection of teas, snacks, and nuts.

The villa is also stocked with a variety of alcoholic beverages and a selection of fine wines. These items are available for purchase and are charged upon consumption.

Zlatnite Mostove (The Golden Bridges) Area

Located on Vitosha Mountain, the Zlatnite Mostove area is the largest stone river in Bulgaria. The name “Golden Bridges” comes from the golden color of the lichens that cover the giant boulders. From here, you can reach Cherni Vrah (Black Peak) via two main trails, which pass by many of the Vitosha mountain huts (hizhi) that are well-known to hikers.

Boyana Waterfall

Boyana Waterfall is the largest waterfall on Vitosha Mountain, with a water drop of about 20 meters. The waterfall can be reached via three main trails. The quickest and relatively easy route is from the Kopitoto area, which takes about an hour. The other two possible trails start from the area above the historic Boyana Church.

Boyana Church “Sts. Nicholas and Panteleimon”

The Boyana Church “Sts. Nicholas and Panteleimon” is a medieval Bulgarian church located in the Boyana district of Sofia, at the foot of Vitosha Mountain. It is one of Bulgaria’s most significant cultural symbols and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural monument in 1979. The church is accessible by bus via a paved road.

Construction of the original, eastern wing of the church began in the late 10th and early 11th centuries. In 1259, a new two-story section was added, commissioned by Sebastokrator Kaloyan. The temple is a two-story church-tomb, with the lower level designed as a crypt and the upper level serving as a family chapel.

The church holds world renown for its frescoes from 1259, which possess unique artistic merit. They were created by a group of unknown medieval artists, often referred to as the school of the Boyana Master, which included painters such as Dimitar Zograf.
